Read it Forward Read it first. More than distinctive illustrations detail the movement and actions of the bones and muscles, and unique charts reveal the origins and insertions of the muscles. Winslow does an incredible job of deconstructing and reconstructing the human form and applying it to the art of figure drawing.

I was recommended clsssic book by a customer at work, and thought that this was definitely something i should learn, considering i’m also going to Life Drawing sessions every Monday.

I just gotta say that the amount of research and examples this book gave me is so comprehensive i can’t even begin to grasp. It adequately describes the internal skeletal and muscular systems, but that’s about it.
Lists with This Book. These are mostly non-fiction books which i usually find impossible to vaerie. Winslow, gives an artist’s approach to perspective on anatomy for our time, one that is as familiar with modern anatomical science as it is steeped in the classical canons of figurative proportion, rhythm and grace.
